April 2nd Show UPDATE!

Quick update on the April 2nd show @ The Interurban. A Pale Blue's Pedal Steel player Bryce Janssens (also of Lord Beginner) is now opening the show with his solo-project The Shack! You can listen to the record Here

Also, artwork from Scott Lewis and our own Shira Blustein will adorn the walls at the show.

November 18 with Quest For Fire!

The Halloween storm has blown over, and our fall hangovers are finally wearing off. Before we crawl into our caves to hibernate for the winter, we are playing a show at the new Waldorf Hotel with our Toronto friends Quest For Fire. Opening is a new addition to Vancouver's music scene "Men at Adventure", featuring the likes of Jeffry Lee, Dave Paterson, Cory Gangnes and Jake Goodman. You won't want to miss this one....

A Pale Blue with Immaculate Machine & Sun Wizard!

Been a busy month mixing with Colin Stewart! The songs are starting to take shape.

Storyboard label (Quest For Fire, Ladyhawk, Bend Sinister) is putting out a limited 12" Split single featuring 3 A Pale Blue songs, the first of a combined artist/band series that is sure to be awesome.

Also, playing a show next Friday March 19 with Immaculate Machine and Sun Wizard at the Biltmore. We're on first so don't be late!

Back at the Hive // Biltmore Show

Heading back to the Hive this weekend to record the last few songs for the record. The incredible Colin Stewart at the helm.

Also playing next Monday February 1 at the Biltmore with the Lonely H and El Dorado. Come out and start the week off right.

Hope everyone had a great holiday! APB took a break from recording to visit family in the Canadian Prairies. Nothing like the brisk winter air to rejuvenate the soul. Once we survive New Years we have to 'get back at er' and finish the record.

Spoon River make their debut at the Fairview as part of a truly mind-blowing bill featuring Lions in the Street, A Pale Blue and DJ Mathew Camerand spinning from his own private collection of vinyl records and digitally stored treasures.

This is the first, of hopefully many installments for A Pale Blue - a Vancouver based Country/Rock/Canadiana band consisting of the following members - Brock Allen, Andy Bond, Johnny Red, Shira Blustein, Galen Rigter and Bryce Janssens.

If we're new to you, we posted some pics to give you an idea of some highlights from the past 2 years - Our "tour van", The Georgia Straight "Best of Vancouver 2008" photo, touring with Quest For Fire, and Brock's Birthday cupcake at the Railway Club last month.

The 6 of us just did a short session at the Hive Creative Labs Studio in Vancouver, and then set up a studio in Shira's living room for some extra tracking. Sounds pretty good so far. Updates, photos and more to follow soon. Enjoy!
